The Chef/Proprietor of this successful 60 cover fine dining restaurant is looking for a well organized and capable Jnr Sous Chef to join the brigade. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week, menus are modern British, seasonal and very ingredient led based on well sorced produce, high standards of cooking and innovative presentation. All food is fresh, prepared on site from scratch and cooked to order and the kitchen produces all the pastry, breads, ice creams etc and butchers whole carcasses of meat making stocks, glazes and cured meats. The restaurant has earned a reputation as one of the premier contemporary dining venues in the area and the kitchen takes full advantage of the best local produce available.

Jnr Sous Chef Jobs in London 2011

As Jnr Sous Chef you will be expected to run your own section, organize your own mis en place and work elsewhere in the kitchen as directed by the Head Chef. You must have strong all round kitchen skills.

You will be even tempered, quality driven and customer focused. You will work well within a team; have a keen eye for detail and a cool head for service, as this unit gets very busy at peak times. You must be reliable, have a good attitude and above all be passionate about your work. You will have previous experience in a similar busy fresh food environment.

The Chef/patron has an impeccable fine dining background, in Michelin Star restaurants in Central London; he leads by example, expects a lot from his brigade and is keen to find a talentedJnr Sous chef who is eager to learn and can make a real contribution to the kitchen team.

4 days on-3 days off

Salary: £24,000- £26,000 depending on experience
