About the role
The Banking & Capital Markets group in London has over 500 staff and due to continued growth we are looking for Audit Professionals to join us to work on our banking and capital markets audits.
As a Manager you will have the opportunity to build on your current skill set and achieve your career aspirations. Your portfolio will include a variety of clients and you will predominantly focus on 1 or 2 clients over the audit season. You will take a key role in a larger team with responsibility for the audit planning, the day to day management of the team including review of audit work and reporting, liaison with key client staff and the engagement partner.
Banking & Capital Markets also delivers a number of non audit assignments for our banking clients and Managers often have the opportunity of exposure to a variety of roles.

Additional Activities
As a member of the Banking & Capital Markets business unit, you have the opportunity to contribute to various initiatives and internal responsibilities such as the following:
- Managing the performance evaluation and career development of junior staff
- Tutor on one of PwC's varying training courses and champion business unit initiatives ranging from technology to learning and development
- Get involved in organising B&CM's social activities
Requirements
The following skills are required for this role:
Essential skills:
- ACA qualification (or equivalent)
- Broad ranging audit experience including planning, executing and completing a diverse range of assignments
- Previous Banking and Capital Markets experience is essential
- Experience in supervising and developing staff
- Demonstrated team player
- Desire for continuous self improvement
- A proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong client relationships
Desirable skills:
- Exposure to Investment Banking is highly desirable
- Effective communication skills when working at all levels
- A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering client solutions
- A demonstrated ability to take responsibility and use initiative, especially when working to tight deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously without direct day to day management
- IFRS and Sarbanes Oxley experience is also advantageous however not essential
