Project Management Internship London Jobs 2011

Management Internship London Jobs
Monster Supplies shop. In East London there’s a shop. No big deal you might think. But this is a shop that caters for the everyday needs of monsters. Project Management Internship London Jobs 2011

Hoxton Street Monster Supplies might seem ordinary enough. But behind the everyday facade of the shop front is the most secret organisation you can imagine: the Ministry of Stories.

The Ministry of Stories aims to inspire a nation of storytellers. We believe in the power of writing to unleash young people’s extraordinary imaginations, build their confidence and self-respect and enhance their ability to communicate and understand.

We run free writing workshops and mentoring for young people aged 8-18 in East London, supported by trained volunteers. Co-founded by author Nick Hornby, Lucy Macnab and Ben Payne, the MoS opened its doors in November 2010 to an overwhelming response from children, teachers, volunteers and of course, monsters. We are now recruiting for an internship to develop the Hoxton St Monster Supplies store.

This internship is an opportunity to be at the heart of our new venture, gain hands on creative project management and retail experience and help make a real difference to the future of the Ministry of Stories. We want to establish the Monster Supplies shop as a destination, online and in store, with a great range of products and interactive elements.

You will receive on-the-job mentoring and support from experienced project managers. You’ll gain a good understanding of the practical side of running a start up social enterprise, design and production and volunteer management. The post is voluntary so we are not able to pay you a salary, but we will compensate travel expenses within London.
