Amazon.co.uk is looking for a Project Manager for the transportation sector of our business. We have multiple opportunities open at the present time.
Carrier Transportation Project Manager role:
- As an integral part and key contributor within the European Operations team, you will be responsible for the control and management of Amazon.co.uk's Transportation and Logistics providers. The Carrier Performance & Operations Manager will liaise closely internally with all UK fulfillment centers (FC's), UK Retail, EU Supply Chain, Customer Service and Finance teams and externally with Service providers to achieve Customer Experience and cost goals. The Carrier Performance & Operations Manager provides business and logistics expertise to ensure optimal delivery service solutions.
- Good working knowledge of contract terms, conditions, procedures, and good negotiating skills
- Strong analytical skills, identifying root cause for negative performance and defining improvement solutions.
- Experienced in project management delivering to committed timelines
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, continual time deadlines, financial goals and achieve business metrics
- Ambition to develop into senior management role
- Lean Management / Kaizen experience
- Be performance driven in a high growth, fast paced, diverse environment
- Strong communication and influencing skills, able to listen to and persuade others based on sound logic
