Personal Development Worker London Jobs 2011

Safe UK is currently looking for highly motivated, dedicated people with experience in either personal development, youth work, coaching/training or learning and development to provide a range of sessions, activities and workshops around Personal Development within our new and fantastic organisation.
Personal Development Worker London Jobs 2011
  •  Do you have experience of working with 11 to 25 year olds?
  •  Can you volunteer for a minimum of 6-8 months? (More if you can offer this)
  •  Can you commit to 5-8 hours per week (flexible on days and evenings)
We have both daytime and evening availability;
  1.  Daytime (anytime between 8am to 6pm) - Mainly schools work but will include 1-2-1 support and attending meetings, etc.
  2.  Evening (anytime between 6pm to 10pm) - Mainly youth groups, internal training and 1-2-1 support, as well as meetings etc.

You will be involved in the set up and development of this new service. This includes publicity and outreach, fundraising, flyering, advertising, facilitating fun social and educational activities and workshops, recording and collecting relevant information and other duties as required to benefit both Safe UK and the Personal Development Service.

You must have excellent communication skills, the ability to engage with young people, great customer service skills, approachable and adaptable nature, very good organisational skills and a professional and positive attitude.

SAFE UK is a not for profit young people’s organisation that provides free independent information, advice and support to all young people aged 11 to 25 years old, who live, work, study or socialise in London, regardless of their gender, background, culture, religion, sexual orientation, disabilities, etc.

SAFE UK is currently in its initial set up and developmental stage and is currently building its policies, procedures and organisation systems and structure to ensure that our core services will meet the needs of the young people we aim to reach.

SAFE UK will be providing the following core services to young people across London, Information, Advice and Guidance, Counselling, Personal Development and Life Skills, Art, Drama and Music Therapy, Life Coaching, Alternative Therapies, Sexual Health Services and Social and Support Groups.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in contributing to developing a young people’s health and social care charitable organisation.
