  • SALARY £20,000-22,500 (depending on experience)
  • CONTRACT Full time – fixed term 6 months (may be extended)

SUMMARY OF ROLE

You will be supporting up to 1,000 users spanning across 4 company sites, additional temporary production sites also will need support. Working within a team of 5

Working hours are based on 8 1/2 hour day but actual hours will slightly vary in order to keep the IT helpdesk staffed from 08:30 to 18:30 Monday - Friday.

At interview the applicant must be able to demonstrate enthusiasm for a career in IT and logical problem solving skills as an indication of the potential to quickly learn the necessary skills

MAIN TASKS
  •  Strong Microsoft Office knowledge (.i.e.) Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  •  Software installations – ranging from Adobe suites to Final Cut Pro
  •  Knowledge of WDS server, creating images and deploy to workstations.
  •  Knowledge of VPN and OpenVPN
  •  Knowledge of Anti-Virus such as Sophos
  •  Telephony Administration / Index and Mitel
  •  Experience in working within SLA’s
  •  60-70% of the time will be spent giving telephone based support but there will be a requirement for PC/Phone moves and face to face desk-side support, so excellent customer service skills are essential.

  •  Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people
  •  Hardware fault diagnostics and troubleshooting skills
  •  Blackberry & Iphone knowledge
  •  Remote Support experience
  •  Microsoft TCP/IP Networking
  •  Strong Windows XP/ Windows 7 / MAC knowledge
  •  Knowledge of Patching and maintaining coms cabs
