Our client is a leader in the private education market with hundreds of learning centres across Australasia. These centres offer specialised individual English and Mathematics programs to children ages 3 to 18.
An Educational Consultant is required to start in March 2011 to supervise a cluster of learning centres in Sydney. The role will see you work with centre supervisors in all facets of study centre/business development and providing educational and business support through a consultative approach. Job training will be provided to commencing the role and be provided on-going as part of your development.
The post suits a qualified primary or secondary teacher/tutor looking to step out of the typical classroom environment. You must have a passion for learning and have the ability to share good teaching practice with your supervisors so students are achieving desired results. You will also have a good business brain and be mindful of opportunities supervisors can take to look at growing their business.
You must be an excellent communicator who is very well organised and can manage their time effectively. Whilst your office is in St Leonards, you will be expected to visit your learning centres to meet with your supervisors on a regular basis so a drivers licence and access to a car is a must.
Criteria
- An education degree in English, Mathematics or Science from a Australian university
- Minimum 2 years working experience in the education industry within English and or Mathematics and or Science field in Australia. Experience working with children (ages 3 to 18) is preferred
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with an outgoing personality and willing and able to communicate with children
- High initiative drive, quick thinker, team oriented and high attention to detail
- Possess a valid driving licence and have access to a car
