brightsolid online publishing has an extremely exciting opportunity for a Junior Website Designer to join their innovative team working on the Genes Reunited brand.
The ideal candidate will have a true passion for design and must live and breathe it in and out of work! As a junior designer you will be required to develop and enhance our current products and assist with product promotion, email marketing and marketing collateral. You will be working on one of the family history sites with millions of users.
To be successful in this role you must possess the following key skills;
- Keen eye for design and artistic flair
- Understanding of accessibility issues and browser compatibility
- Excellent organisation skills
- Min 3 years commercial experience in web design
- Good knowledge of HTML/ XHTML, CSS, Adobe Photoshop, Fireworks
- Knowledge of prototyping / mock ups in Azure / Balsamiq
It would also be desirable to possess the following skills;
- Ability to turn projects around quickly
- Proven hands-on experience of building templates for email marketing
- Experience using Visual Studios and TFS
- Print design experience
- Drive and imagination
- Ability to work self-sufficiently
