Based in their central London HQ, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong knowledge of commodity trading and all related matters, showing a real drive and ambition to progress their career within an Oil & Gas risk management team.
My client only recruits the highest calibre individuals within the oil & gas markets, therefore the right candidate will look to be responsible for the following:
- Assisting clients to design implement and deploy a commodity risk strategy, which may include services such as: risk governance and policy frameworks, blueprinting desired state process and system designs; control design and implementation.
- Participating in the commodity risk management sales and marketing efforts as well as broadening relationships with existing clients.
- Advising clients on a variety of risk services to aid their efforts to identify, monitor, measure and ultimately manage the commodity risk exposure in their organisations;

- Strong communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills
- Desire and ability to work closely with quantitative and technology professionals on project assignments
- A thorough understanding of some or all of the following would be an advantage: quantitative methods and tools supporting commodity risk measurement; knowledge of energy trading risk software (e.g., Endur, Entegrate, Commodity XL, Allegro, RightAngle).
- Minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent (MBA, Finance or mathematics related preferred) .
- Experience of working within a Tier 1 professional services firm.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills and demonstrating knowledge in energy trading and risk management.
