The school boasts of numerous achievement and awards including; Gaining The ArtsMark Gold from the ArtsCouncil of England, being Part of The Specialist Schools Trust for excellence and diversity and most recently for gaining Media Arts College Status.
This large school is all on the same site but composed into 3 categories of upper school, lower school and sixth form. It has excellent new facilities including a remarkable new English block, with a Media/ICT Suite including radio facilities which goes out throughout the school.
The students' exam results are excellent but they offer much more than this: musicals; drama, music and dance productions; talent competitions; photography; film-making; sports of all kinds; school radio; Duke of Edinburgh's Award; residential field trips, tours and holidays; debating societies; community work; student council; HUGs (student counselling), all make up the very fabric of what it is to be at the school.
