To create and execute the start of our Bliss Research and Development Library. This is a task for a very motivated person with excellent organizational skills who is able to use their own initiative. A new system needs to be put in place that is easy to use and maintain. The ideal applicant would be studying design, architecture or interiors.
You would need to categorise various products and companies for quick and easy access to produce to clients and customers that are in our show room.
The right person for the job needs to be accurate, efficient and logical.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Plan and manage system for R&D library
- Select new books, magazines or catalogues and other materials for the library from retailers
- Catalogue and classify R&D library materials
- Update and maintain electronic resources and databases
- Different methods for organising and finding information, including cataloguing rules
- Know the range of material kept in their library
- R&D Library software and subscription databases
- Information resources available in specialist subjects
